trippys is an American Hardcore Factions player active since 2015, known as a dedicated Rogue and Archer across HCTeams, Lunar and HCF Revival. He is one of the few documented players to run rogue as a primary class in organised team fights rather than as a cleanup or chase role.
He played for Voltage, Dawn, GodFathers, Trill, Viagra and Brazil.
Career
trippys describes working up from small factions into the competitive scene over roughly a decade. His best-known footage is from HCTeams Map 17, where Voltage made both Dragneel and NoLimit raidable; he played Archer in those fights alongside his duo Kahbeh.
He maintains two long-running class playlists on YouTube, Rogue Adventures and Archer Adventures, each with more than 50 videos, out of about 215 uploads overall.
Style of play
On rogue
In his own words:
"Rogue is super niche. How many rogues can you say that you saw in big team fights? Probably not many, because most factions thought the class was only good for cleaning or chasing and would not let their members run rogue. Truth is, if used correctly, the class is a literal fight changer."
His rogue play was primarily defensive; kit protecting his own bards and archers by killing overextenders quickly, and taking a high volume of 2v1s. He argues the class generates value even on a failed kill: backstab damage alone drains a kit sniper of an entire row of pots, which he considers reason enough to field a rogue in any team fight.
He kitsniped only occasionally, on the reasoning that teams adapt quickly to rogues who do it. Even an unsuccessful run had value as a distraction, pulling a diamond or two around, but he rates it well below defensive rogue for overall impact.
On archer
As Archer he played relatively close to the fight to maximise tag uptime, extending to 30–50 blocks only where the terrain called for it.
