Welcome to the HCF Wiki
The community reference for Hardcore Factions — mechanics, classes, events and history.

Claim land, build a base, gear up, and fight for control of the map — knowing that every death locks you out and the whole world resets when the season ends. Two rules define the format: the deathban and the timed map.

The most important event in HCF. A fortified KOTH where pearling is disabled — four per map, one per week, and whoever wins the most is considered to have won the season.

From the format's origins around 2012, through the golden era of 2013–2018, the rejection of the 1.9 combat update, and the contraction that followed.

Classes

Armour sets grant abilities and define your role in a fight.

  • Diamond — the frontline; highest armour, no abilities
  • Bard — buffs allies and debuffs enemies via energy
  • Archer — ranged tagging and mobility
  • Rogue — burst damage and speed
  • Miner — night vision and haste underground
